This is a great opportunity to purchase a quality boat from a well known & established Dutch boatyard at a fraction of the cost of a new boat and substantially less than is being asked for similar boats on the market today.

Built 1990 by Wim van der Valk Jachten in The Netherlands.
Her last survey was in June 2005. A copy of which is available. The Owner confirms that all recommendations within the survey have been addressed. Arawak also benefits from a Boat Safety Scheme certificate which expires Feb 2012.
The boat has recently been anti-fouled and 26 zinc sacrificial anodes fitted. Recent work includes 5 new batteries installed, new exhausts, reconditioned propellers and the liferaft serviced.
Arawak has permanent accommodation for 4 in 2 double cabins, both with ensuites. The aft owners cabin ensuite also features a bath with shower over.
The raised saloon is a large open area that would benefit form soft furnishings, a some armchairs, etc. The saloon has a large fitted leather sofa which easily converts to an occasional double berth. This living area also benefits from a flat screen TV and built in CD player/radio. As with all cabins, there is plenty of storage space.
The Owners cabin, with large double bed, also benefits from generous storage space and a small leather sofa.
Between the aft Owners cabin and the raised saloon is a laundry room offset from the alleyway. This small cabin houses a washing machine & separate tumble drier. Also in this section of the boat is the entrance to the engine room.
‘Arawak’ is fitted with two Volvo Penta 380hp diesel engines powering the semi-displacement hull. The cruising speed is reported to be 10 to 12 knots with a maximum of 16 knots. The boat is also equipped with a bow thruster & generator. Fuel capacity is 476 gallons.
Steps descend from the raised saloon to the large, practical galley & dinette. The galley features built in Meile halogen hob, cooker, smeg extractor fan, built-in microwave oven & fridge. Below the cabin sole is a large chest freezer.
Directly opposite the galley is a dinette with a leather seating area which could seat 4 to 6 people comfortably.
Forward of the galley is a large storage locker, the forward heads & entrance to the large double guest cabin. This cabin features a double bed and substantial storage space.
Most of the interior woodwork throughout the boat is varnished cherrywood with a lighter hardwood used for the cabin sole in the saloon and galley. The 2 cabins are carpeted. The accommodation benefits from Webasto warm air heating throughout.
Externally the boat benefits from an open deck space just aft the helm position. This area offers good protection whilst providing a superb all round view. There are 2 cockpit 'total enclosure' canvas covers, one of which converts to a Bimini. Comprehensive, interfaced navigation equipment is mainly provided by Raymarine/Raytheon.
This area also houses a built-in beer/wine cooler for entertaining.
A stainless steel ladder extends down to a large, teak decked, bathing platform equipped with a fresh water shower. Stainless Simpson Lawrence davits are fitted above the bathing platform.
Access to the open bow area is safe & obstruction free.
The use of stainless steel is abundant with Van der Valks; guardrails, trim, bollards, ports. All combined with the teak decks, tinted glass & high-gloss steel hull to give this motor cruiser a more sophisticated appearance.
